SECTION 2

Air test tunnel to measure the air exit velocity, the pressure drop across the orifice and calculate the active surface area of the orifice. Measurements are made in supply and return air mode for a wide range of flow rates, using Inverter driven fans. The tunnel includes an air flow smoothing device, a mobile scaffolding system for supporting the sensors for a full scan of the orifice surface in two axes and software for monitoring, recording measurements and converting them into tables and diagrams.

SECTION 3

Test chamber for measuring range, deflection and drop of the air beam, and noise level. Measurements are made for isothermal and non-isothermal operation. The chamber consists of two Central Air Conditioning Units to cover air flows up to 15,000 m3/h. The KCMs are equipped with cold and hot water elements and fans (plug fan) driven by Inverter. The duct network with internal soundproofing is equipped with suitable damper in order to direct the air to the respective outlet that carries the spout – the outlets are five and are suitably positioned to cover the whole range of openings (wall, ceiling, floor, special applications). The chamber includes a mobile sensor support scaffold with the ability to move on three axes and scan the entire interior of the chamber. The movement, control, recording of the measurements and their conversion into tables and diagrams is done by means of special software.

* All sensors and measuring instruments are certified according to ISO regulations and are systematically calibrated.

Aerodynamic elements

The performance of the orifices (flow rate, range, pressure drop, noise level, beam, etc.) is essential for the calculation and operation of the air conditioning installation.

Special orifices

Specially designed orifices, due to operational or aesthetic constraints or research and development requirements, shall be constructed, tested and measured from the outset. The relevant tables are delivered to the customer.
